Processing Multiple Files
This guide will show you how to anonymize entire folders or groups of files at once, instead of anonymizing files one by one.
You can upload multiple files at once for efficient processing. A single batch is limited to a maximum of 100 files. If you need to process more, please split them into separate batches of 100.
1. How to Upload a Batch
Method 1: Select Multiple Files
This is the most straightforward way to process a specific group of files.
- On your computer, open a folder and select all the photos or videos you want to anonymize.
- Drag the entire selection and drop it directly into the upload area in the MaskIT app.
Method 2: Upload an Entire Folder
For maximum efficiency, you can process a whole folder with a single action.
- Simply drag a folder from your computer and drop it into the upload area.
- MaskIT will automatically scan the folder, find all supported files (JPEG, PNG, WEBP, etc.), and add them to the processing queue.
2. Processing and Downloading Your Batch
Once you've uploaded your files, the process is simple and transparent.
- Processing Queue: You will see a list of all your uploaded files in the queue. MaskIT will begin processing them automatically using your currently selected Masking Settings.
- Download Results: After all files are complete, you can download them individually. For efficiency, click the main "Download All" button. This will save a single .zip archive containing all your anonymized files to your computer.
3. Clearing Your Files
Once your files have been processed and downloaded, you have two simple options to clear them from the application view. This ensures your workspace remains tidy and secure.
Method 1: Removing Individual Files
If you only want to remove a specific file from the list of processed items, you can do so individually.
- Hover your mouse over the thumbnail of the processed image you wish to remove.
- An "X" icon is located in the top-right corner of the thumbnail.
- Click the "X" to remove that specific file.
Method 2: Clearing All Files at Once
When you have finished downloading all your files and want to clear the entire session, the "Clear" button is the most efficient option.
- Locate the red "Clear" button at the top-right of the upload area.
- Clicking this button will instantly remove all files, leaving you with a clean slate for your next batch.
Notice: As explained in our Security & Protections section, this action permanently removes these files from your session. This process is irreversible and the files cannot be restored.
